Review of Page One: Inside the New York Times (2011) by Ian G — 13 Jul 2011
A very interesting look inside the NYT during an ever evolving time in the aughts where the newspaper industry and various other forms of media transfers from the more traditional forms of media into the digital age.
Its cool to see how various papers are run as well as the upstart blogs, IPAD and Wikileaks impacted the rate of which news is outputed and how the Times quickly adapts with what is out there. The subject star is the cinematography and subject reporter David Carr in his remarkable transformation from former drug addict to spirited and exacting reporter for the paper.
A must watch and one of the strong doc entries for 2011.
