Review of Page Eight (2011) by Rob S — 21 Aug 2014
Finally something worth watching. LeCarre, while always smart and complex, doesn't always translate to great movies. This one strikes just the right chords with a believable--and understandable--plot; but in the end, it's really not about the plot at all.
This is all about great dialogue, precisely delivered and highly charged with real stuff like loyalty, fortitude and the stiffest upper British lip on film. Save your money. Stay home, make your own popcorn and watch this.
