Review of Paddington (2014) by David E — 16 Mar 2015
Though the trailers and advertising focus almost exclusively on the slapstick moments, where Paddington shines is in developing relationships between the title bear and surrounding characters. The film plays everything straight, never batting an eye at the ridiculousness of its own concept, and the result is exceedingly charming.
This is a very good family film that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike.
