Review of Paddington (2014) by Tyler S — 02 Jul 2015
He gave her community service...in the petting zoo.
An orphaned Peruvian Bear is looking for a home in London when he meets the Browns. They name him Paddington, after the train station they found him in. They take him home until they can help him find a foster home. They predictably become closer and family over time.
"Hand over the bear!".
"He's family!".
Paul King, director of Under One Roof, The Pajama Men, and episodes of the television series Dog Face, The Mighty Bosh, and Come Fly with Me, delivers Paddington. The storyline for this picture is okay but the animation is fun and in-line with similar films like Smurfs. The acting was just okay and inline with what you'd expect for the genre.
"When somebody doesn't give me what I want I start removing body parts.".
I recently saw this was added to Red Box and decided to randomly get it to watch with my daughter one night. I will say it was okay and worth a viewing but far from a classic within the genre. I recommend giving this a viewing but I wouldn't purchase it.
"Stranger Danger.".
Grade: C+.
