Review of Paddington (2014) by William%20 O — 13 Nov 2017
I usually don't see a fantasy movie, but this movie gripped my heart. The main character, Paddington brought by a British author Thomas Michael Bond and has been loved by people over the world, came to real life in the movie. The producer is David Heyman who is famous for "Gravity" and "Harry Potter" series, and the director, Paul King is known for his comedy style and of course it reflected on this movie well.
It is a family movie, so maybe you think it must be childish and it's true for people who like actions or horrors, so I don't recommend to those people but children will really like this movie, because there are not only fantasy elements but also comedy too, so children wouldn't be boring. In addition, as the main reason that I liked this movie, the changes of the scenes were very interesting and it made me feel as if I was reading a picture book, I could know the director tried to keep the world of the original one there. Besides the movements of him was expressed by three-dimensional special effects, so it was real and especially I want you to focus on his running, it was really cute. There were many attractive points on this movie, but above all, I liked his character. He tried to fix in London people and culture but he couldn't do well at first because he was a bear, but as the story moving on, people came to know his loyalty and kindness and gradually took him as a member of society. Many people may be familiar with this situation and have felt being isolated when they jumped into new environment, but Paddington teaches us that the important thing is not appearance but personality.
It was the story of a little bear, Paddington went to London searching for his new house, and needless to say there was an accident too in the later of the story.
Before I watched this movie, I didn't expect much, but when it ended, actually it was much better than I was expected. This heartwarming story will give you a great family time, and 95 minutes after, your family will feel a stronger connection than before.
If you have children and want to spend a good family time or you feel you don't fix in your place and concern of it, I recommend that you watch it regardless the age.
