Review of Paddington 2 (2017) by Nikola B — 18 Nov 2017
The character of Paddington is the embodiment of innocence and kind-hearted nature. His naivety and motivation, along with pushing the story forward, allow him to generate an aura that is a mixture between that of an uderdog and a messiah.
The characters that srround Paddington are equally unique and their interactions with him are genuine and progressive to the extent that this world allows them to be. The world itself, London to be exact, is beatufilly created though a variety of lights, colour, carpetnry, animation, and imagination. Along with that, there are small scenery homages to directors such as Wes Anderson and Steven Spielberg that are masterfully incorporated into the film.
Conclusively, Paddington 2 surpasses the regular expectations for a sequal and matches the enchantedness and originality of its predecessor. It transports you to a simpler realm full of unorthodox possibilities.
