Paddington, the bear, is great. Paddington 2, the movie, is a near masterpiece. If you don't have any positive emotion watching this movie, I am concerned for your lack of soul. It's Wes Anderson dipped in a pot of extra sweet marmalade.
It may be January, but my guess is Paddington will be the best movie of the year for a long time.
