Review of Pacific Rim: Uprising (2018) by Greg H — 23 Mar 2018
People seeing PR2 will fall into 2 camps. Those who have seen the first and those who have not. My take is that it is not as good as the first, so if you didn't like the first movie, don't expect this to be 'streets ahead' of that one.
The beginning is slow and the threat does not fully materialize until the third act. Much of the plot is fairly predictable aside from one element (Alice). However it gets three stars for some nice combat sequences involving Jaegers and Kaigu.
If you have seen the trailer, you know what you are getting into.
