Review of Pacific Rim (2013) by Tbelle — 15 Jul 2013

If you like robots and monsters you can't really go wrong here. The acting isn't bad, the characters likable, the effects and *amazing*, and there's enough plot to keep things going but not enough to get in the way of what you went to see: robots beating up on monsters.

I was actually really impressed with the characters and plot, initially worried there would be too much of them and I wouldn't see enough action. The science in this world mostly makes some sense and technical plot holes are few(once you accept the general setup).

If you're a fan of mecha themed anime, grew up with Ultraman, or play video games that are action packed then you'll like this movie.
