The movie's main objective was to capture a raging battle between the Kaiju (aliens) and Jaeger (humans). Mankind's last hope... & you know what this movie did capture? Just that. It delivers what is promised.
Don't expect a huge love story, a mystery movie, Yoda or other stuff; it's purely action.
