Pacific Rim is an ok movie, nothing special, just ok. Charlie Hunnam's American accent is bad, let me just get that out of the way. The action sequences at least had meaning to them and it wasn't mindless action like with the Transformers franchise, but still. The CGI wasn't great at times but you stop noticing after a while. The plot is rather simple and the characters are pretty fleshed out. But some of the performances just seem bad or quirky and not particularly fun. If you wanna turn of your brain and watch an action movie, watch Pacific Rim. Not Guillermo del Toro's finest work.
