Review of Oz the Great and Powerful (2013) by Ryan P — 16 Nov 2013

I had such high hopes for this movie. It was a let down. I know it was a prequel but they really went to far away from the original. Wicked witch's costume looked nothing like it did in the original.

So what she got some modesty as she got older? And how in the hell did we go from flying evil baboons to flying monkeys?? Explain that one. And why is there a flying monkey friends with the wizard?? And Glinda was just sad.

You never really know of her being all great and powerful in WOO anyhow, but she was some weak simpering girl in this one. And couldn't they at least got a costume to look like WOO??? I was very disappointed that none of the costumes looked anything like WOO.

While they were nice, wasn't the same. China doll was so cute, but what was the point of having her when she's not even in WOO. Even though there was alot of CGI in the film, you can tell it. The quality was very poor.

And the actors did a poor job as it was. Oh and what happened to Oz by the time it got to WOO? Looked more like Alice In Wonderland than Oz.
