A cheerful, energetic and lovable film with a great taste for quality CGI, likable characters and full-on adventure. It's got a lot of charm, and although it might not be as revolutionary as the 1939 classic, it still manages to pull you right into an admirable and joyful world full of warmth, charisma and genuine emotion.
Sam Raimi skillfully persuades the audience through his remarkable and distinctive directing style, and he truly understands the craftsmanship and passion that is required to handle something as dear and beloved as L.
Frank Baum's timeless mythology about the great land of Oz. Apart from that, the entire cast really seems to enjoy every minute on screen, and because of that, "Oz the Great and Powerful" ultimately becomes a pleasure that you wish would last forever.
