It's nice to know that over the years Oz and Glenda switch roles. In this movie, Oz is manipulative and Glenda is as Good as her name. In the "original," the opposite is true. Plus, the lack of songs make the munchkins singing much funnier.
Not sure how close to the books this is, but the books didn't have musical numbers either.
