Review of Oz the Great and Powerful (2013) by Anthony C — 13 Dec 2013
Oz The great and Powerful a telling of the story of The Wizard of Oz from the wizards point of view.
There is not Dorthy and no Totto and Kansas plays a long 20 mins in this movie. If you remember Dorthy and the Wizard of OZ come from the same town.
This is the start of the epic story of OZ and the story more revolves around the good witch and the bad witch and their first battle to win over OZ and how the Wizard becomes the Wizard of OZ.
The colours and vibrant 3D effects you feel in this movie is amazing and can really blow the kids minds.
The only downside to the movie is the fact that the first 20 mins is in black and white and the over the top length in the movie.
The cast do an amazing job re-creating the new version.
Make sure you have the time and the kids have the attention to stand the over 2 hour feature film.
