There were a lot of really boring parts. It reminded me of Disney's Alice In Wonderland - it was pretty to look at, but they changed the original story enough to make it bland. I also think that James Franco should NOT be in a leading role.
He's fine as a sidekick, but I got sick of seeing him in this. It has some funny parts, but it also has a surprising amount of jump scares - so parents beware. If you want to see a prequel to The Wizard Of Oz, go see a little play called Wicked.
