Review of Overlord (2018) by Biotofu — 01 Apr 2019
Felt like a castle wolfenstein movie with those nazi zombies. I can tell this was a fantasy/scifi horror movie when I saw black soldiers integrated into a majority white paratrooper company in WWII, so this was very not historic, which I was OK with.
however, I do have a love hate relationship with the protagonist because he is such a terrible soldier, almost selfish. many of the soldiers made very dumb decisions in the movie but the motives were still pretty convincing, because we know they are inexperienced and stupid.
the opening jump scene was great. then some of the shots when they were marching at night early on was quite good. but thats pretty much it. the second half was mostly predictable cliche. watch this for entertainment if you are interested in WWII zombies.
