More of a horror movie than a war movie, Overlord nevertheless steals two scenes from "Saving Private Ryan" -- i.e. the shooting of an American soldier saving a cute and clueless French child, and the near drowning of a soldier with a full pack.
The movie also includes two attempted rapes (of the same girl), various zombie-like monsters and historically inaccurate scenes. The plot is predictable and the acting the same. I wish I had not trusted the critics on this one.
