There were some real WTF is going on moments, and I'm not sure if it's the writing or the directing. Also there were no integrated combat units, pretty sure no integrated units anywhere yet in the Army.
Also I laughed at the idea of a squad of paratroopers jumping with a BAR, a Springfield sniper rifle, an M1, a fixed stock M1 carbine, and a Thompson. The special effects on the "final boss" were shit, they made it pretty gory in CG but there was so much more practical makeup shots that really fell short of replicating the effect they'd shown with CG.
