Review of Overlord (1975) by Patricio R — 07 Jul 2007
I guess some people are born with some sort of "war vocation" that they fulfill by joining the army. The rest of us just do not have that vocation. In this movie, Tom, the main character, belongs to the latter group but he is forced by the circumstances to join the British army during WWII.
How he comes to terms, little by little, with what he perceives will be his imminent death constitutes a touching and excellent movie.
