Review of Overheard (2009) by Cory P — 30 Oct 2009

I just watched this on Bluray. Its a technically excellent film. It was well directed, acted and written and I must say the Bluray looks beautiful. Its worth the extra price. Besides, so many people pirate these movies - if you have any conscience then pay the makers for doing a good job!

I'm going to slightly spoil the ending and say that it is very grim and dark. If you can't handle a movie where almost all the main characters including their families die horrible deaths THEN DON'T WATCH IT. I can't stress enough that this movie is not for everyone. I'm sorry for spoiling but that warning had to be given.

Now that said, please don't go thinking that its one of those movies where everything bad happens and then it just ends though because there is actually a kind of justice in the end. That's all I'll say about that. If there was no justice I'd probably give the movie 1 star and tell everyone not to watch it because I'm sick of that nihilistic crap where there isn't even any justice.
