Review of Overboard (2018) by Jin T — 16 May 2018
Some reboots and remakes tend to do okay and this is one of them. It holds up to be its own movie. It is kind of a sequel to the 1987 movie of the same title. Anna faris doesn't seem to be involved as much as I thought she would be but the rest of the actors did.
Eugenio Derbez who played as Leonardo did most of the spotlight. The was a great lack of romance between the two and it was kind of disappointing since this is a rom com kind of movie. Eva longoria's spotlight was even more than anna faris performance alone and I didn't like how she said it's for justice because the man treated them bad.
as if the damage wasn't enough on both ends. Also there were lot of interjection of the seahawks. Don't get me wrong, it played well int other story but I couldn't help but think that maybe anna faris misses Star-Lord so much that it had to be there? I don't know.
Overall, I had a few chuckles here and there. It was an enjoyable movie even if there was a few things I didn't like. I still prefer Kurt Russell and Goldie hawn romantic duo.
