Review of Overboard (2018) by Cristina S — 09 Aug 2018

This film was very disappointing. I've wanted to see a good remake of the 1987 "Overboard" for years but this was basically a couple different actors reading some of the script of the original minus all the heart.

The wild, crazy, and hilarious male children that antagonized Hawn's character are replaced by three blonde angelic girls? They couldn't have at least been spunky, rowdy girls? It's also missing all the elements that build the romance in the original.

I was basically shocked when the two characters profess love for each other. Why do you love her? Proximity? This film was a huge missed opportunity to do something cool and new with a fun concept.
