Review of Overboard (1987) by Karl M — 26 Nov 2018
This is an average film- which is shocking since both Russell and Hawn are so likeable. Nothing here folks, just a boring movie about a rich spoilt woman who loses her consciousness in an accident and ends up marrying a redneck and his family.
Though both Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn are more than competent the film never really picks pace and sort of trudges along. There are some laughs to be had but all in all this is a moot film, a simple cash grab in my opinion.
If you really want to watch a comedy there are far better options out there.(One time watch at best).
