Review of Over the Top (1987) by Brad G — 23 Nov 2010
Never has the sport of arm wrestling been portrayed soooooo seriously and I'm guessing it will never again get the star treatment like it does here in this epic father/son story. Over The Top is definitely a little goofy with its truck stop bars, inspirational rock music, growling evil grandpa Robert Loggia, and climactic Vegas stadium tournament but it gets the job done.
It's a little heart warming and for my old 8 year old self it made arm wrestling fairly badass for a week or two. VF.
