Review of Over the Top (1987) by Nicholas A — 23 Jul 2011
About 20 minutes into this film we are subjected to a tearful phone conversation, during which Stallone's estranged wife maintains that he had a good reason for abandoning her and his son. The fact that this phone call occurs moments after the first section of Stallone and his child's wacky road trip was revealed as what could only be described as a visit to "Bear Country" just verified that the film could have ended in about 30 seconds and made the world a better place if he'd just said:
"I like having my shit pushed in. I'm sorry son".
