Review of Outsourced (2007) by Benjamin F — 11 Sep 2008
Not the edgiest independent comedy in the world, and it doesn't take a lot of risks, being a pretty feel-good film. But what it does, it does well. You're presented with a likable cast of characters, a cute, quirky script, and a lot of jokes about cultural and language-related miscommunication, with humor about both Indian and American culture.
An enjoyable cross-cultural story overall, and while it won't change your life, you'll enjoy it while it lasts. It does what it sets out to do well, without trying to be more, and for that, it's certainly worth your time.
