Review of Outpost (2008) by Chris P — 09 Apr 2008
The film's got a nifty story and stunning atmosphere (especially given the small budget), but it lacks in gore despite the large-ish body count. The cast is solid, with Ray Stevenson carrying the same stoic qualities he displays in Rome.
I wish they would have given Richard Brake more to do, since he's a damn good character actor (reminds me of Steve Buscemi). It's just a shame they didn't go all out with the Zombie Ghost Nazi angle - a heaping helping of gore would not have gone amiss.
However, I definitely got more out of this than I bargained for.
