Review of Outpost (2008) by John M — 03 Jul 2008
A suprisingly well-made low budget horror movie. I know the premise of invincible Nazi ghost zombies sounds... well, as ludicrous as saying it aloud does, but trust me: this is one of the better made action/horror movies in recent memories.
Outpost focuses on slowly building tension and a creepy claustrophobic atmosphere rather than throwing special effects all over the place. Granted, the accents are a bit hokey, but I liked the decision to go with relatively unknown actors who look the part rather than pretty boys.
Outpost could have benefited from some better written dialogue, but I'm willing to overlook that blemish because I really got into this one.
