Review of Outpost (2008) by Dan F — 07 Nov 2012
Vicious and at times unbearably grim, Outpost is a chilling exploitation romp with some big ideas and unflinchingly cruel execution. It doesn't give us any heroes to root for, but the claustrophobic concrete bunker entombs the audience for a black-hearted trawl through a bleak nightmare scenario.
Very dark, and an incredibly effective horror echoing the tone and grim finality of Michael Mann's 'The Keep'.
