Review of Outpost (2008) by Andy O — 15 Jun 2010
I'm not normally a fan of Horror, but I was watching it with a friend that was.
Outpost is a clever scary low budget British film about a group of mercenaries that are sent to explore a bunker in eastern Europe only to find the remains and consequences of a Nazi secret.
Its uses old fashioned scare tactics for want of a better word and relies on your on imagination as much as the plot.
Ultimately though the film does what it says really and doesn't claim to be anything different, it isn't as funny as Dog soldiers but it has its charm. a scary Solider flick that is definatly let down by the ending, probably best suited for DVD Outpost is a perfect £5.00 buy but not much more.
