Review of Outlaw King (2018) by Charlie S — 04 Jan 2019
A good movie, and being a Netflix exclusive makes it better. It follows a Scottish king who is wanted by the English for killing and wanting the crown. Thatâ(TM)s what I got from it toward the middle of the film, the beginning was actually confusing and I could not follow it.
During my times of confusion I focused on the setting and characters. The cinematography was excellent and the drone shots of Scotland was breathtaking. The characters were good too, actors and actresses did a great job and I cared about their portrayal of the character.
The story was solid, though I was confused at some points but there were some scenes I couldnâ(TM)t take my eyes off the screen because it was that good. Speaking of good, no, awesome, were the battles.
They were huge, well-coordinated, and full of heart; the actors gave it their all to make it a realistic fight. That was easily the best part of the movie. So, I waited for this movie, and I think that this is one of the best Netflix originals ever, but for a regular movie, not as good as some but still pretty freaking enjoyable.
