Review of Outlander (2008) by Kyle W — 13 Dec 2009
I went into this movie not knowing what to expect as I knew absolutely nothing about it. After the movie finished, I was fairly pleased with what I saw. It's basically about a man from a different galaxy (time?) who's hunting this creature and they get transported to the Vikings Era here on Earth. He has to deal with the Vikings and try to gain their trust but what I really liked what the backstory told in flashbacks of why the man was hunting the creature in the first place and why the creature is hell bent on killing the humans.
While the special effects isn't anything special, and there was nothing 'epic' or grand about the premise or the cinematography, I felt it was well acted, the mixing of multiple genres was done well and overall it was a very enjoyable film. 8.5/10.
