Review of Outlander (2008) by Oddvar H — 21 Jul 2009
A true tale of heroism, friendship and courage. Though it was a far cry from the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, it was not half bad. Given that the movie was loaded with utter BS along with the obvious oddity of the monsters... The whole movie had the feeling of Battlestar Galactica. Imagine Star Wars, Alien and Lord of the Rings all in one, but unfortunately in the end, not creating the perfect combination.
Outlander was quite good, but not something I plan to watch again personally. Too much bloodshed and unnecessary gore. I thought the story was very good and was incredibly flexible to work with, but I think they went about it the wrong way. I think they should of taken it and made it more of something like... I have no clue, drawing a blank. But I think it could of easily been different and in being so, better. I do think mister 2hammers should of stayed around longer as well, I like his character.
Worth watching at least once.
