Review of Outlander (2008) by Cristina C — 18 Oct 2010
Yet another take on the Beowulf story. The space based premise here is original, but ultimately very silly. The monster is very good, one of the better movie monsters I can think of right now, with very good use of lights.
The portrayal of Viking society is less believable and feels less real than in the 13th warrior, and all in all I feel this film falls short of that one. But it's a nice effort, and worth watching.
