Review of Outland (1981) by Alex W — 01 Apr 2008
I always get a kick out of this film, even if it ripped off Alien design-wise, and took the story from every post-Western ever made. But the local video store's copy really is from 1983, and gets wavy, slows down, then literally eats itself in my VCR.
Peter Boyle is great as the corrupt manager, and Frances Sternhagen as the sarcastic doctor. And of course, the main attraction...Connery in his post-Bond prime.
