Review of Outland (1981) by Paul T — 12 Aug 2008
Just caught this again recently on late night TV and it holds up well. Basically a formula Western set on a mining planet in outer space, given weight by a great lead performance by Sean Connery with strong backing by the ever-reliable Frances Sterhagen.
Peter Hyams was never a great director, but it's surprising how many of his films make it into my faves list purely because they are so watchable.
