Review of Outland (1981) by Øystein B — 04 Feb 2009
Dystopian western in space, with plot elements from Ibsen's "Enemy of the people". Of course, any science-fiction film is always worth watching, and this one does a good job of setting the bleek mood of the mining colony on Io - but the plot is thin, with holes in it, and for entertainment, it relies on overly long, unexcting action sequences.
And, (whisper)Sean Connery isn't actually all that good...
