Review of Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism (2004) by Jeremy B — 16 Aug 2004
Whether you're a dem. or a rep (God, help you), you should see this movie. It's absolutely petrifying and a horrific commentary on what "news" is today and what we're handing down to our children.
I don't see it as one sided at all--if this side exists, it undoes any good Fox could possibly do. Just this issue alone of Bush's cousin calling the electrion in his favor in 2000 and Fox announcing it, when that was very far from the truth (the opposite, actually) should be enough to have their license pulled.
It's a simply terrible, the state of these things, and everyone should see it to know what's really going on--I thought I knew. I thought I knew how biased Fox and Murdoch were.
Turns out I didn't have a clue.
I think it's so important that Republicans see this so they can either pat themselves on the back for being so reprehensible and... odious, or better yet: they can see what their leaders and media have created. Perhaps they'll reconsider who and what they stand for. I only wish.
JB.
