Review of Outcast (2014) by Matthew W — 25 Jan 2011
Feargal and his Mum are hiding out in a rundown Edinburgh estate, on the run from a couple of gyspy travellers. Feargal falls for a local girl, but their relationship is threatened by a ferocious beast that stalks the streets⦠Colm McCarthyâ(TM)s film transposes werewolf lore to the urban decay of The Disappeared, creating an effective little story laced with witchcraft but rooted in the real world.
Itâ(TM)s good to see James Nesbitt stretching himself a bit more, and look out for Karen Gillen (Dr Whoâ(TM)s Amy Pond) in a supporting role.
