Review of Out of Time (2003) by Andrew G — 18 Oct 2010
Above average suspense crime thriller is fast paced, engrossing. Denzel Washington, police chief and nearly divorced, never knew he had it so good.
Left alone in a small Florida town of Banyan Keys, he falls in love with a local married woman. But he unwittingly falls into a rather elaborate trap designed to grab big money in his custody as chief of police.
Washington is the king of cool in this stressful thriller, trying to stay one step ahead of his own police force and especially his wife who just made detective.
There is a lot of luck for the chief in this far fetched tale of high crimes and big cash. The setting is serene Florida coastline and decent soundtrack. Lots of comic relief from the fast talking and witty medical examiner friend of Washington.
Worth watching if tense action is your idea of entertainment.
