Review of Out of the Woods (2005) by Adawg J — 04 Jun 2008
This was on Channel 5, 3.15 on a Monday afternoon. Perfect scheduling as it was a brain-free, easy going yarn which included life lessons. Hot shot lawyer gets stuck out in the sticks and, despite initial resistance, learns to respect and adopt the simple ways of the country folk.
To be honest, the predictability of it all made it a tad dull but I sat it out. I even shed a tear at one point towards the end, although I had broke up with my girlfriend of six years a couple of days before, so it probably had more to with that than the films schmaltzy climax.
I won't lie to you, there are numerous other ways the afternoon could have been better spent, but I was not in the mood.
