Review of Out of the Past (1947) by Adam C — 21 Aug 2007
One of my favorite films of all time. A hard and interesting film noir. It is a visually impressive film with lots to look at. The story is also strong as it is powerfully tragic and mood filled. Mitchum is the man in this film and Greer plays an excellent role.
Tourner was a master of mood and lighting and this is maybe his best film. Great stuff here.
