Everything you want ina film noir you'll find in this movie. A tenacious detective spinning his wheels to make good. A drop-dead beauty up to no good. A slick mobster with a shark's grin. Also double-crosses on double-crosses.
This movie did spawn a remake in 84 Against All Odds.
