Fun and great noir here with Mitchum trying to dodge Jane Greer's femme fatale ways. Kirk Douglas, looking screamingly handssome here, plays the gangster boss who keeps hiring Mitchum to do jobs for him, even though the last one wasnt completed and Mitchum pretty much fled the coop.
Nevertheless, he's hired to to fix an accountant for trying to blackmail Douglas. Mitchum figures something is up, and soon before he's over his head, he starts reversing the cat and mouse game.
Awesome performances all around here, great complex plot, and plus, Dickie Moore is in it!!
