Review of Out of the Past (1947) by Jacob O — 08 Jan 2011
A truly excellent noir which single-handed launched the career of Robert Mitchum. The narration is smooth, the characters mysterious, and the lighting atmospheric. With a very consistent supply of dead bodies along the way, you can't really go wrong here.
