Review of Out of the Past (1947) by Amal H — 09 May 2011
One of the most enjoyable movies I've seen in a long time. Anybody who hasn't seen this film noir gem needs to watch this. It is about a man with a shady past who leaves it all behind and starts a new life, only to have his past come back to haunt him.
It stars Robert Mitchum & Jane Greer in arguably their best roles. Also stars Kirk Douglas in his second film appearance, as a slimy gangster. Perfect movie, start to finish. My highest recommendation.
