Review of Out of the Past (1947) by Ben H — 22 Feb 2012
A real film noir archetype, fantastically stylish, shadows, cigarettes, Mitchum as a kind of dodgy hard-man detective, and Douglas as an even dodgier businessman, twists all over the place and a bleak ending.
Jane Greer's facial expressions say it all. Brilliant.
