Noir at its noiriest in a nice looking b&w restoration, complete with the genre's convolutions. Lawrence Kasdan said this was an inspiration for his (classic) "Body Heat." Trench coats abound.
Women are beautiful and triplicitous, the good one getting away.. Mitchum and Douglas in their heyday. A good looking film with some good day-for-night shooting - and with a good commentary track for a 2nd look.
