Review of Out of the Furnace (2013) by Richard B — 26 Mar 2014

I thought this film had a lot of potential with a solid cast and a good director, but the film ended up being pretty cookie-cutter and pretty predictable. The acting is pretty solid (thought Forrest Whitaker's accent was weird) and Christian Bale was really good.

The story isn't anything special and felt like a combination of a few other films. Overall a well acted film with a solid cast that lacked a story that kept me interested and engaged for the most part.
